One of our first assignments at Oscraps is to take pics of ourselves in all of our glory. Okay at least full body shots. I gotta admit, I was a bit dismayed at the shot of my back end. I haven't really had a need for that angle of a pic so it was kind of like "where did that come from and why is it following me?" LOL
Hopefully, I will be coming back in 12 weeks with less of me to show you!

New weight loss challenge at Oscraps
Okay, so as I am sitting on the deck of a lake side restaurant I am bombarded with all of these gorgeous people cruising by and docking their boats. I'll admit it I was jealous. I don't need to be a barbie doll or model thin, just not jiggly.
It seems that 3 kids in 3 years and the fact that I have hit 30 has impacted my body's metabolism...ability to pass on sweets...and desire to be more active.
Since it's a new year, what better way than to become more healthy. I have 6 1/2 months to get it together. That is to stop the jiggle feast that is my arms and disarm the saddle bags that have become my thighs.
Oscraps has started a challenge of sorts where each week they will post 2 new health inspired challenges and also conduct weekly weigh-ins. One of the assignments is to take photos of yourself from the front, back, and both sides, plus take measurements and figure out your BMI. ( I will do that later today). The second assignment is to work out for I believe 30 minutes 3 times a week. Hopefully, I will be able to scoot over to the gym later today.
I will come back later and update as to my progress.

The beginning of the end!
I'm tired. Tired of not fitting into my clothes... tired of not having energy... tired of not being able to buy off of the rack (all the time)... tired of not feeling confident... tired of feeling 10 years older than what I am...
In 3 months, I will be 30. It is my goal that as I begin the next 30 years of my life that I will be healthier and have a healthier life style. I feel that being 30 something I am not able to blame my life style on my youth... and I feel that if I keep it up, I will not have a healthy 30 years ahead of me...
So here I go! I am going to use this blog to document my start of a healthier life style. Here I will post pictures... hopefully to document my progress. I will also post insight into my journey as well as tips and possibly a recipe or two...

In my defense...the couch was really cushy and I sunk into it... but that doesn't excuse those arms... now does it?
